Hints & Tricks
My suggested Hints & Tricks
- Use shallow tupperware type storage containers to keep bags of pieces seperate after you open them (see tools). You will find bags of pieces inside the numbered bags. Although you will break them down into a single bag when you have finshed your build and break it back down, take advantage of seperating these bags during your first build.
- Use a pick (aka hook needle) to pull flat top pieces, but be very gentle so that you don't scare the piece. (see tools) - Video coming soon.
- Use Ziploc 1 gallon bags for storing pieces when breaking down the build. You will work backwards in the book starting with your last numbered bag.
- Use a permanent marker to number the Ziploc bags. Video coming soon.
- Use a good pair of scissors to open the bags. Make sure you look through the bag after you empty it into the container, as small and/or clear pieces may be stuck in the bag.
- Learn what the back of pieces look like (video coming soon). This will make puling pieces much easier and quicker over time.
- Make sure to take breaks. I suggest taking a 5 min break between small to stanard size bags. Larger bags, you may need to take a break after a few pages in the instruction book.
- If you are feeling tired, STOP and take a break or quit for the day/evening. Mistakes can be costly (time wise), especially if you find your mistake many pages later.
